Which flooring is best for basements?
Luxury vinyl plank is the usual winner below grade — it's waterproof, warm underfoot with the right underlay, and handles humidity swings that ruin hardwood. We'll recommend based on your actual space, not what's on sale.
Why does subfloor prep matter so much?
Every dip and hump in the subfloor telegraphs through the finished floor as bounce, gaps or clicking seams. We level and secure the subfloor first — it's the unglamorous step that makes floors feel solid.
Do you remove old flooring?
Yes — removal and disposal of carpet, laminate, tile or hardwood is included in your quote, along with new baseboards or quarter-round to finish the edges properly.
Can flooring go in over a concrete basement slab?
Yes, with the right moisture protection and underlay. Vinyl plank and engineered products are common choices over concrete, and we'll test and prep the slab first.
Do you remove old flooring?
Yes. Removal and disposal can be included in your quote, and we'll check the subfloor once the old material is up.
