Hardscaping That Holds Its Line
Interlock is where corner-cutting hides best — and shows up worst. A beautiful patio laid on a thin base turns into a wavy mess after two winters. Maple Ridge Mastercraft builds interlocking stone across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph the slow way: full-depth excavation, compacted granular base, proper edge restraint and polymeric sand. A client in Cambridge called the interlock we did in their backyard "incredible" — and it'll still be flat when their kids are grown.
From a front walkway that lifts your curb appeal to a full backyard patio with steps, borders and lighting, we design around your home's style and your budget.

Interlock Questions, Answered
Why does interlock sink or heave, and how do you prevent it?
Almost every failed interlock job comes down to a shortcut on the base. We excavate to full depth, compact granular base in lifts, and screed properly — that's what keeps a patio flat through Ontario freeze-thaw cycles.
Can you repair or re-level existing interlock?
Often, yes. If the stones are in good shape we can lift, re-base and re-lay sunken areas for much less than a full rebuild. We'll tell you honestly which one your project needs.
What's the difference between interlock and a poured patio?
Interlock is modular — individual stones can be lifted and re-set if anything ever moves, and it drains better than solid concrete slabs, which crack when they heave. It also looks considerably better.
